Apple will have an event for some new products this April 20th, and reports are picking up the pace now with what we should be expecting this Spring.
Last year we got some updated iPad Pro models and the iPhone SE but we shouldn’t expect any iPhone this time, with a new product joining the Apple ecosystem and iPad Pro being the main event this year.
Let’s have a look at what we believe is coming.
Okay, this product has been rumoured for well over a year now, they’re a Tile-like Bluetooth tracking device that’s designed to be attached to…
What should we expect at WWDC this year?
It's Summertime and that means it's once again time for the next major software updates from Apple at WWDC 2021 on June 7.
Expect updates for the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac and maybe even some hardware reveals with Apple M2 Silicon rumoured to show up.
We had some big surprises last year with the MacOS Big Sur UI overhaul, Scribble on iPad and Home Screen Widgets on iOS so I hope Apple continue to surprise us.
Lets begin with the big one…
Last year we got a major…
Have Google finally become a challenger on both fronts?
For the last five and a half years we’ve watched Google attempt to challenge Apple and Samsung on the hardware front while doing some amazing things with software, so can they finally unite both and give users a device with no compromises.
Google were already kings of software with Android being the most popular mobile OS in the World with 3 billion users, but when they entered the hardware business with the Pixel line in 2016, they did that to show everyone how Android should be.
What new toys will Google reveal?
Google will be hosting I/O online from May 18th-20th, after missing last year due to the pandemic, we now have an online event to look forward too. Last year was a tough one for Google with many delays and cancellations of products so this is going to be a big one for Google.
Normally the I/O event is for the newest Android update and features but in recent years it’s also shown off some new products.
So what should we expect this year?
The main event of I/O, after a few developer…
All the newest Apple products revealed
Apple just announced some new products at their April Spring Loaded event and some we didn’t think would show up yet, let's take a look at some of what they revealed.
Last Spring we got some updated iPad Pro models and the iPhone SE but this time we got AirTags, the newest product joining the Apple ecosystem, iPad Pro with mini LED display, New iMac with Apple Silicon and a new Apple TV 4K.
Let’s have a look at all the good stuff...
Finally announced, this product was rumoured for well over 18 months…
The first developer preview from Google is here!
Google recently released the first Developer preview of Android 12, the next major update to Android.
This is exciting because a few leaks were coming just a few weeks ago with what we might see this year from UI redesign to widgets overhaul and thankfully, it seems like these all might be true.
I’ll just go through the major stuff that Google announced and a few things that are hidden in the coding that will most likely come at the annual May announcement and public Beta.
Looking ahead to the future of iOS for iPhone.
Last year was truly a major change for Apple with iOS 14 and the iPhone 12 in design and user experience but what comes next?
The following features are mostly speculation and nothing is set in stone until WWDC 2021 in June so take it with a pinch of salt, these are just likely updates we could or should expect from Apple this year.
Home screen widget improvements
One of biggest features of iOS 14 was home screen widgets at long last, these widgets really give you a nice personal home…
Last year I spoke about the future of Apple design and where they’re heading, now with recent reports on the new MacBook Pro’s and Apple Watch Series 7, we can finally see the whole picture starting to form.
The recently announced 2020 MacBook Air, MacBook Pro and Mac mini with Apple Silicon (M1 Chip)are now known but they aren’t going to be around for long.
Those new Macs are using an old chassis design during a tough year for all in 2020 and Apple are holding back the new designs for later this year.
These current M1 Macs are…
Samsung will announce the new Galaxy this week, here’s everything we know.
New year and the new Galaxy flagships from Samsung are here, Samsung will reveal the line up at the unpacked event on January 14th.
It seems Samsung want to kick off 2021 with their best straight away and maybe cut into some iPhone 12 sales after Christmas.
So what should you know?
No folding or Note devices until the summer but we have three flagships with improved camera, SoC performance and prices.
Galaxy S21 and S21+
The first two will be the standard 6.2" Galaxy S21 and the…
